Nachts träume ich von Eisbrechern
Und sanften Meeresphysikern
Die mir das Packeis genau erklären
Und mich über meine Schwächen belehren
Unter den Stratosphärenwolken
Leuchten Eismöwen in Perlmutt
Von Weitem hört man ein dumpfes Grollen
Das einen vorbereitet auf den Verlust
Vom Nordpolarmeer sagt man gern
Es sei so herrschaftlich
Ich fühle mich eher unpolar
Verwundert, verwundet und so lala
Eisschollen reflektieren das Licht
Soweit es noch vorhanden ist
Aurora stirbt und vom Horizont her
Gibt's bald auch keine Dämmerung mehr
Noch ist die Welt hier in Blau getaucht
Doch dann ist auch dieses Licht verbraucht
Und alles nur, weil sich die Erde neigt
Warum bin ich bloß falsch abgezweigt?!
Jetzt ist es dunkel, ein halbes Jahr Nacht
Was viele Menschen ehrfürchtigt macht
Für mich klingt das nach blankem Hohn
In meinem Zustand der Isolation
Der Polarkoller holt mich ein
Ich war wohl doch zu lang allein
Das Ende meiner Expedition
Liegt an miserabler Navigation
