My Day Lyrics by James Diotic

The Rapture

2017

PART 1
[Verse 1: Hmtwn]
Let me tell you 'bout my day, yeah
Hell yeah it's been a long day, yeah
I ain't gon' hit you with the ordinary struggle
We gon' make it out someday, yeah
I can admit I got problems
I can admit I ain't solved 'em
And they look at you to call on
But then you can carry on, carry on, carry on
Wait, can I get lit tonight?
I ain't tryna deal with no shit tonight
I can't handle my 9 to 5
Lately all my girl do is fight
Always tellin' me it's my fault
But won't go away when the night falls
But they look at me to fall on
But then you can carry on, carry on, carry on
Bitch, gotta put the blame on myself (myself)
Gotta put it all on myself (myself)
Right, right, wait
Gotta get it right with myself (myself)
'Specially when it's all on myself (myself)
Uh, gotta do what they won't do, yeah
Don't slack when it's on you, yeah
Don't let it get above you
'Cause everything you workin' for is gon' fall through, yeah
[Verse 2: James]
Look, who are we kidding?
I made it a diamond it glisten
I roll with the homies, the spittas
I roll will truest of niggas
I roll with the bluest of crews
Yeah we are the kings with jewel
We what it means to be free
I tell you it’s true, it’s true
[Chorus]
It feel like my day
I'ma make today my day
I’m gon' make today my day
I'ma make today my day
It's my day, yeah it's my day
[Verse 3: James]
But I'm not really stressin it
Polyester flows keep a nigga in the fresher fit
I wonder how the pressure feel
When all your views irrelevant
I'm happy as I'll ever get to be I see
That you and I agree no more
When will I ever let it go
It ain't that hard to be humankind
Thinking it's cool to be serpentine
[Chorus]
It feel like my day
I'ma make today my day
I’m gon' make today my day
I'ma make today my day
It's my day, yeah it's my day
[Verse 4: James]
Man what the fuck happened
We used to play champions
We used to be champions
Don't you remember playing kanye?
Don’t you remember playing kanye?!
Remember Big and Andre
Outkast all day, I was an Outkast all day
But now today is my day
It's my day
It's MY DAY
It's MY DAY
It's MY DAY
[Outro]
You know I hold it down
Bitch don’t overreact
I had your favorite song
It’s more than that
And if y’all have to ask
It’s for my variance
It’s for the fucking kids
I rhyme to free the kids
I rhyme to free the kids
Blessings from reigning Grace
I guess I’m saving Grace
Yeah
I guess I’m saving Grace
I guess I'm saving Grace
PART 2
[Intro]
I just wanna see you smile
We gon' be here for while
I just wanna see me smile
I'm gon' be here for a while
[Verse]
Slow it down, slow it down, this just a mixtape
But I gave an arm or leg like Kunta Kinte
Man I had worked like 2 years
On this shit and I feel
Like you ain't get it my real

Rc and Benny Flocka
Got back like Verizon
Daaaamn homie, shit you came through with the blinders on
Daaamn homie, I see you came through with the blinders on
I ain't see them niggas, Ion't even think I feel them niggas
Downtown at the wine and rhyme
I was insulted, I was going blind
Aye, fuck all this Tampa shit
Always tryna bring me down
Mean mugging my click
If y’all niggas don’t love me yall can suck my dick
360 degrees all around my tip
I wasn't hiding
Pure as poseidon
Rc and Benny Flocka
Got back like Verizon
