I began enjoying music at an early age. Growing up with a complicated upbringing, music quickly became comfort for me in chaotic times. — Says 9hxztly
At age 11, I got my first keyboard. From that point on I became obsessed with making music and performing arts, I did musical theatre around that same time. Throughout my highschool years I tried to start multiple bands because I always enjoyed the idea of playing music and jamming with my friends. I was fortunate enough to have moved to Nashville, TN from California at age 13 and quickly found music was everywhere, Submеrged in the crowd of thousands of artists But still I was driven to crеate and have have fun with my friends, But music got pushed to the side. — Says 9hxztly
9hxztly was born just a few years ago, when I had a radical change in professions. Working at a mortgage company and that industry caved in and when I lost my job and career I realized it didn’t make me happy. I chose to really hone in my craft and I’m still honing it in but now that I’ve had a bit of an ego death I see things from many different facets and perspectives. — Says 9hxztly
Achievements:
Already at 42k streams and 8k monthly listeners on Spotify after my first release in just 9 months. I’ve worked with JDXL a long time childhood friend whose music career is climbing as well. Still working on a few more projects with him and plan to release a full band pop punk version of “cared for me” soon.
Previously worked on Cyanide by Dustin Taylor (me) and JDXL.
I wanna show others that no matter how hard life gets, we can all push through to the other side the best version of ourself. And maybe they can relate somewhere in my music and not feel as alone in this difficult world and times we are in. Releasing “Kerosene” early January. As my first single release under just myself and I feel is my most personal song. — Says 9hxztly
