My Motivation Lyrics by Jay 1:40

A Thousand Perspectives

2017

I'm doing everything that I can to make it happen, to get my message out and influence the masses, what I do is more than music, it's a passion, not a thing I've earned will be taken for granted
I'm eighteen and I'm tired of the shitty jobs, but I'm not making what I need to help my mom, when I heard she had depression I was fucking gone, how could this happen to the woman that I love so much?
She can't work no more, it's making her condition worse, my dad wants to get a second job to help ensure we can get it through the month, but he already works a forty hour nine - to - five, and it really hurts
To know that I can't help when they need it most, applied to several places, no calls in my phone, I'm working full time music and I'm filled with hope, that soon I'll get my channel to explode
What's my motivation? Knowing that my parents struggle, I'm tired of doing nothing, time to start the hustle, been finding pieces everyday to fit the puzzle, by twenty eighteen I need my fan base to double
Hoping one day I can work on music comfortably, making sure my parents don't have to be wondering if we're gon' make it through the month, that will be under me, I know that I have what it takes to live a hundred dreams
Mom and dad, you know I love you, I promise I won't put a single thing above you, when I make it you won't have to lift a muscle, thanks to both of you I'll make sure I stay humble
You're the reason that I've learned to work with patience, take the curse of working shitty jobs and break it, you're the reason that I always strive for greatness, to put it simply, you're my motivation
