1st of the Month Lyrics by Jay J AKA JayJDaBeatGod

GOD COMPLEXXX

2021

Wake up, wake up
It's the first of the month
I'm a do what I want
'Bout to go on a hunt
I'm a get to the funds
I'm a stack it all up
I can't spend it once
Get to the paper
Get more than last month
I invest in myself 'cuz I'll never give up
You mentioned your name to me it don't mean nothing
If you ain't getting to it I don't wanna hear nothing
Wake up, wake up
It's the first of the month
I'm a do what I want
'Bout to go on a hunt
I'm a get to the funds
I'm a stack it all up
I can't spend it once
Get to the paper
Get more than last month
I invest in myself 'cuz I'll never givе up
You mentioned your name to mе it don't mean nothing
If you ain't getting to it I don't wanna hear nothing
Get on yo' job
If you ain't bringing money in, you making it hard
If you ain't got work ethic
I don't care if you starve
I been tryna be on for so long
It's time to go off
You provide for your family in my eyes you can do no wrong
I walk 'round with protection 'cuz I'm raw
Never get it twisted 'cuz you hear me singing songs
I feel sorry for these niggas who think I'm soft
I smite thee make you feel the wrath of God
I'll have yo' bitch singing my hymns
She'll join me on this life of sin
I can bless ya' raise ya' limits
It was so hard to stay consistent
When my mind was in a prison
But I always saw the vision
Wake up, wake up
It's the first of the month
I'm a do what I want
'Bout to go on a hunt
I'm a get to the funds
I'm a stack it all up
I can't spend it once
Get to the paper
Get more than last month
I invest in myself 'cuz I'll never give up
You mentioned your name to me it don't mean nothing

Follow in my footsteps
You'll stay blessed
Your secrets will stay secrets
I'm convinced I was chosen
Never broken, my soul fierce
You pay your respect
Follow in my footsteps
You'll stay blessed
Your secrets will stay secrets
I'm convinced I was chosen
Never broken, my soul fierce
You pay your respect
Wake up, wake up
