Intro to Hollywood Lyrics by Jaypitts

I’ve Never Been to California

2018

[Verse 1]
A nigga really hailed from the east coast
A nigga really never been to Cali
Some reason I've been feelin' it's for me though
I got uncles, I got cousins, I got family
They tell me that the weather is the best there
And hardest gettin' Mitchell's for a Grammy
When I pour my mosh pit, when I stage rock
Wanna be everything I know I can be, yeah
I just spent a few bucks not I'm landing, yeah
Dream about it, young buck, no Bambi, yeah
Every preacher that I take is like Gandhi, yeah
All the colors standing out, outstanding, yeah
I just saw Kendrick and after, Jay Rock
Say after we should do business, the sun is my clock
I just hit up SZA, she like what I got
And Frank Ocean comin' at six on the dot
[Hook]
Just woke up
I was dreamin' once again but I
Know I got, I know I got
Yeah, for too long
I was stradlin' the fence but I
Got my shot, I got my shot
Just woke up
I was dreamin' once again but I
Know I got, I know I got
Yeah, for too long
I was stradlin' the fence but I
Got my shot, I got my shot
Yeah
[Verse 2]
Yeah
Up in Cali, Cali, Cali, California (Yeah, yeah)
Off the rip where they hit me like, "[?] (Yeah, yeah)
Got the drip over whip is a classy foreign
Leave a message, can't come to the telephone
Dream up, nigga, dream up (Dream up)
I'ma get it then bring the whole team up (Team up)
I've been reppin' since like elementary, bruh
Freestylin' at the back of the cheese bus
Speaking of the cheese, man, I need bucks (Ching)
Rappin' independent with no ring on it (Bling)
Keep my tracks fresh with a Frieza
I'm allergic to you lames like a sneeze on it
One hundred degrees on it
He wanted it, she want it
Another EP on it
We run it then rerun it
I wanted to be public
I wanted to see something
So I'ma release something
Maybe I can be something
Make the world see something
[Hook]
Just woke up
I was dreamin' once again but I
Know I got, I know I got
Yeah, for too long
I was stradlin' the fence but I
Got my shot, I got my shot
Just woke up
I was dreamin' once again but I
Know I got, I know I got
Yeah, for too long
I was stradlin' the fence but I
Got my shot, I got my shot
Yeah
[Verse 3]
My nigga, what is you doin'? (What is you doin'?)
You really wanna be another rapper? (Uhuh)
You know this is super cliche, right? (Yep)
You know this what everyone's after
No matter, the plan is to master my master's
I got a few friends who swing from the rafters
I got a degree but it's paying backwards
I spent too much money on textbooks and classes
And the industry ain't big enough to be a damn monopoly
I just made a lane, see if ya'll can follow me
Everybody wanna rap, produce some damn photography
You probably never heard of me, just look at my discography
My mama think that I should be in college where the knowledge be
I lookin' what I'm makin' and I'm scrapin', I'm like probably, so
But I stay ignant like most of these niggas that listen, I'm finna be countin' this dough
[Hook]
Just woke up
I was dreamin' once again but I
Know I got, I know I got
Yeah, for too long
I was stradlin' the fence but I
Got my shot, I got my shot
Just woke up
I was dreamin' once again but I
Know I got, I know I got
Yeah, for too long
I was stradlin' the fence but I
Got my shot, I got my shot
Yeah
[Outro]
Yeah
Welcome to California
I ain't never been, though
It's gonna feel like it by the time this EP over, you feel me?
L.A, Oakland, bay, yeah
Detroit
