Try Lyrics by Jelani Blackman

5-8

2017

[Verse 1]
Disposable
But untearable
More like paper plates
From those days
Non-negotiable
But unwearable
Like the mask we try to fake
[Pre-Chorus]
Needed a moment alone
Needed you over the phone
Needed you anywhere there
How could you tell me that I never cared?
Your feelings were spared 'cause of me
'Cause I never shared properly
And probably why we can't survive
But still we try and
Still we
[Chorus]
Try, try, try till we don't
Try, try, try till we won't
Bought me an AC/DC t-shirt
Why, when you know I like grime?
But we try, try, try till we don't
Try, try, try till we won't
Bought you an Outkast album
Never had time to listen
Nah nah you didn't
Nah nah you didn't
Nah nah you didn't
Bought you an Outkast album
Never had time to listen
Nah nah nah
[Verse 2]
Calico skin
Soft but unbearable
Like close air in the heat
Devotional
But unquenchable
Like our thirst for bittersweet
[Pre-Chorus]
Needed a moment alone
Needed you over the phone
Needed you anywhere there
How could you tell me that I never cared?
Your feelings were spared 'cause of me
'Cause I never shared properly
And probably why we can't survive
But still we try and
Still we
[Chorus]
Try, try, try till we don't
Try, try, try till we won't
Bought me an AC/DC t-shirt
Why, when you know I like grime?
But we try, try, try till we don't
Try, try, try till we won't
Bought you an Outkast album
Never had time to listen
Nah nah you didn't
[Bridge]
Pleasure, pleasure
Pain, pain
Pleasure, pleasure
Pain, pain
Pleasure, pleasure
Pain, pain
Pleasure, pain
Pleasure, pain
Pain, pain, pain pain
Pain pain pain pain
Pain
Pleasure
[Chorus]
So we try, try, try till we don't
Try, try, try till we won't
Bought me an AC/DC t-shirt
Why, when you know I like grime?
But we try, try, try till we don't
Try, try, try till we won't
Bought you an Outkast album
Never had time to listen
Nah nah you didn't
Nah nah you didn't
Nah nah you didn't
Bought you an Outkast album
Never had time to listen
Nah nah nah nah
