Honest Lyrics by J.Howell

Honest

2022

[Intro]
Uh-huh nah
Uh-huh oh
Uh-huh uh
[Verse 1]
Right back where we began
Breaking me down again
Can no longer just pretend we're too far gone
Constantly arguing
Both of us fight to win
Can no longer make amends, so, why hold on?
We use to lay up until the sun comes up
That spark, that fire when we touched
But, now, we're just burning, baby
[Chorus]
I just want you to be honest
Truth hurts so does broken promises
I just want you to be honest
Truth hurts so does broken promise
[Verse 2]
Try not to throw a fit
Hands up, I plead to fifth
Both our backs against the wall
This time, I had enough
Keep going back and forth
We both know that this ain't love
Obviously, it's soul ties
Nowhere to go hide
Even if we tried to say, "Goodbye"
All the good times outweigh the bad times
I can't deny, oh
[Chorus]
I just want you to be honest, oh, I
Truth hurts so does broken promise
[Verse 3]
Said, "I just want you to be honest"
But, you don't understand, baby
You gon' make a fool out of me
Truth hurts, so ,does broken promise yeah
Said, "I just want you to be honest"
But, you don't understand, baby
