Forgetful Lyrics by Joel Malka

With You - EP

2019

[Verse 1]:
Got in this just to get away
Now, I almost miss home
And that’s despite the paranoia, all the looking over shoulders coming with the city
Just don’t wanna be alone
It should all work out like any day
Now, that’s what I’ve been told
And what I keep telling myself
Can’t fold though I’m tempted, I need you next to me
See, with you, I get a little bit more forgetful (I want that)
With you, I get a little bit more forgetful (I need that, cause...)
[Chorus]:
Getting high is getting old
I might need to up my doses
Stick around, don’t go
If I’m down come closer
Getting high is getting old
I might need to up my doses
Getting high is getting old
But you never do, you never do
You never do, you never do
[Verse 2]:
I just wanna get this weight down
Swear I don’t know how much longer I can hold it
I’ve got so much on my shoulders
If it wasn’t for you, I’m not sure how I’d cope
I just need some time to space out
Time for us to get caught in the moment
Time for you to put it on me
Come put it on me
With you, I get a little bit more forgetful (I need that, cause...)
[Chorus]:
Getting high is getting old
I might need to up my doses
Stick around, don’t go
If I’m down come closer
Getting high is getting old
I might need to up my doses
Getting high is getting old
But you never do
[Bridge]:
Out here talking to myself
Long deep breaths but nothing helps
I’ve been tryina drown these demons
But these demons Michael Phelps
Always too close to the edge
Sorry, I’m not making sense
I’ve been trying to drown these demons
But these demons Michael Phelps
[Chorus]:
Getting high is getting old
I might need to up my doses
Stick around, don’t go
If I’m down come closer
Getting high is getting old
I might need to up my doses
Getting high is getting old
But you never do, you never do
You never do, you never do
