On New Years Eve Lyrics by John Riggio

0

[Verse 1]
On new years eve, I resolve to clean my room
To make things neater and maybe buy a broom
On new years eve, I resolve to do things great
To do my homework and not procrastinate
On new years eve, I resolve to floss my tooth
Brush 'em every day so they don't fall out
On new years eve, I resolve to brush the dog
I'll even volunteer to take the garbage out
[Chorus 1]
On new years eve, we resolve to do things
With the best intention
And through the year, we sometimes fail
To do the things we mention
[Verse 2]
On new years eve, I resolve to play outside
To get some sunshine and act undignified
On new years eve, I resolve to get good rest
To eat my veggies and do my very best
On new years eve, I resolve to wash the car
Make it really shine 'til I see my face
On new years eve, I resolve to mop the floor
Remove the dirt until it's gone without a trace (Hey!)
[Chorus 1]
On new years eve, we resolve to do things
With the best intention
And through the year, we sometimes fail
To do the things we mention
[Verse 3]
On new years eve, I resolve to be more kind
To show compassion to everyone I find
On new years eve, I resolve to be a friend
Communicate and bring hatred to an end
On new years eve, I resolve to read a book
Curl up on the couch or beneath some tree
On new years eve, I resolve to be polite
Help someone cross the street and say thank you and please (Please!)
[Chorus 2]
On new years eve, we make decisions
That we think are worthwhile
The more we act, the more the habits form
To change our lifestyle
On new years eve, we make decisions
That we think are worthwhile
The more we act, the more the habits form
To change our lifestyle
[Outro]
Five, four, three, two, one
Happy new year!
