This Is What’s Important Lyrics by Billy Davis

This Is What’s Important

2021

[Instrumental Intro]
[Chorus]
Ooh, ooh, oh-oh-oh
Yeah, run the clip
Mm-mm
Oh, this is what's important, yeah
This is what's important, oh
This is what's important
Yes, this is what's important, oh-oh-oh
Oh, this is what's important
Oh, yes, it is
Oh, this is what's important, oh-oh
This is what's important
Oh, this is what's important
Listen when I say
This is what's important
[Verse: Jordan Dennis]
Ain't nobody ever really shown me grace
The only person to ever show me grace was my mama (Mm-mm)
What my mama said (Oh)
I said, "Ain't nobody ever really shown me grace (It's important, yeah)
The only person to ever show me grace was my mama"
What my mama said (This is what's important)
My mama said
"Find yourself in kindness
Find you in His Highness (Oh)
Find yourself in light and find yourself in lightness (This is what's important)
Find yourself in darkness
Be the spark who brightens in despite of lions, tigers, bears, and giants (Oh)
Be the finest
Find yourself defined in fires forced to finalize refinement through His eyes and keep on smiling
Keep defeat behind the guise of enemy lines
Through all your trials, endure your rivals, show them life defined inside His likeness
Turn your cheek despite desires, old and tired
Seasons strife on words the world of lies reprised as wise will only cause demise
While eyes that focus on the crowd, but to the sky I cry
And trust that fruits foretold from days of old aren't high with ripen"
This is
[Chorus]
So this is what's important
This is what's important
This is what's important
This is what's important
