The Boy and Dude 2 look at each other
The Boy splits for the patio. Dude 2 grabs his shirt. Dude 1 kicks open the door, firing. Dude 2 screams, lets go of his shirt. The Boy scrambles to the sliding glass doors

The glass shatters. He doesn't feel it, He runs
DUDE 1
STOP!
The Boy doesn't stop. He sprints by the pool
DUDE 1 (CONT'D)
Wait! I'm not going to hurt y-
Dude 1's voice is cut off by a gunshot. The blow knocks off his equilibrium. He falls backwards into the pool. This isn't in slow motion
He hears someone yell:
EVERYONE/NOONE
WORLDSTAR!
Cut to: INT. POOL - DUSK
Switch to first-person
Somewhere a brown recluse screams
Dude 1 walks up to the pool, looks down. The Boy looks dead. He doesn't move, and he wouldn't breathe either, if he had a choice
Dude 1 lifts his gun
The Boy wishes that
THE BOY/NAOMI
I'LL PROTECT YOU
Hadn't become a lie so soon
Thunder ripples through the horizon
Dude 1 falls, dead
The Boy moves out of the way. He stands in the shallow end of the pool. He curses
He's never been in this much pain, physically. He still can’t breathe. He walks back to the mansion, stepping through the broken patio door, ignoring the blood and glass. He trips on Dude 2
