Society Lyrics by Jory Canfield

Binary

2016

All Ya’ll Saying you God fearing got me tired
So you’re only good cuz you’re scared of Hell fire
Look there’s nothing more selfish that I’ve heard in my life
You won’t be good for the hell of it. Only for the afterlife
What’s wrong with you? What the hell
You think you’re a good person only helping yourself?
I’m just here to get rid of that hype
You’re only a good person doing what you think is right
Look religion may or may not be bullshit
But either end of the spectrum is full of it
Did we evolve over lot’s of time?
Or were we put here by something more divine?
Science says yes to the first, theists to the latter
I’ll say the first is correct, but why does it matter?
It won’t affect us right now. It’ll stay the same
Debate present events like climate change
God dammit it’s real, Don’t get me started
Science isn’t political you’re so fucking retarded
I can’t put my finger on it. What did you say?
“That shit isn’t real. Bitch it snowed yesterday.”
Now lemme explain why you’re an idiot
You only make facts out of your opinion
You don’t know the difference between pants and a gene
And you say “Vote Donald Trump in 2016”
I still need to talk to some atheists
Most of you aren’t assholes, but many are bigots
Attacking religious people, just because
They made a Facebook post saying “Like for God”
If it’s not offensive, just leave it alone
You’re sitting in an armchair, not on a throne
You’re not any better because you think you’re right
It’ll save a lot of time if you don’t start a flame fight
Or is it flame war? I don’t care anymore
Ya’ll fighting over nothing is such a bore
Ignorance is bliss may be what they say
But from what I’m seeing, I’d go the other way
Now let’s talk about feminazis
Feminism is fine, but men aren’t all zombies
Feminism wants equality in all parts of life
Feminazis want men to be a stool for their wife
I’m against sexism, neither sex is better
It’s getting more and more equal, we all stand together
I don’t want that diverted. I’m happy with this
Equality is almost something we can dismiss
The one imbalance left is race and ethnicity
Lemme just explain in this simplicity
Now people aren’t thugs just cuz they’re black
Just cuz someone’s Muslim people fear an attack
Now why are we so prejudiced?
Maybe cuz shit’s out of our element
We may just see others as a threat
Because of the news that we never forget
Like 9/11 or the attacks in France
The states aren’t giving refugees a chance
International affairs may be our focus
But those in need aren’t helped cuz we’re xenophobic
I see other people hating on some cults
Religion is religion act like adults
If you worship Satan, that’s perfectly fine
Just don’t be assholes, please stay in line
Why is there hate for those who like the same sex?
It won’t affect you, It’s not that complex
People need to learn some fucking respect
Stop discriminating, Don’t deject
It’s funny how we’re fucking up the planet
And there ain’t no changes. I can’t stand it
How will the world ever be enjoyed
When all the coastlines will be destroyed
When I was young I was told that the world is good
That’s pretty simple to be understood
But it turns out everybody lied to me
We live in a fucked up society
