I Won’t Forget You (Mexico) Lyrics by Josiah MacCartney, Jon Caryl

2022

[Verse 1]
And take me back to Mexico
You look happier at home
These last few months
We stayed apart
Let's run these streets like they are ours
[Chorus]
And someone told me once
We never fall in love
Just feel things until they're gone
And I can say that's true
Except for once and then
It always sticks to you
So I won't forget you
[Verse 2]
And take me back
When it gets cold
I'm not happier at home
I look around when I am down
But my smile is hardly kept
[Chorus]
And someonе told me once
You care all too much
Givе God what is His
I lost all control back in Mexico
We'll never be the same
[Bridge]
You never hold me like you used to
You never told me you'd refuse to
Ever see me again, it's fine
Just don't come crawling back
I don't care it's in the past
And whatever you do
Don't cry for help
'Cause you did this to yourself
[Chorus]
And someone told me once
We never fall in love
Just feel things until they're gone
And I can say that's true
Except for once and then
It always sticks to you
So I, I won't forget you
But I won't forget you
And I, I won't forget you
So I won't forget you
Oh
[Outro]
Yeah it takes some time to break your heart
But, mmh
I just feel things until they're gone
No, back in Mexico I lost it all
