Rainy Day Lyrics by Just Charles

Just Hip-Hop

2020

Intro:
Picture the words
I'm spittin straight to your mental
Sit back and close your eyes
On this ride, yo it's simple
Now, just vibe wit me
Just vibe wit me
Just vibe wit me
Just vibe wit me

Verse 1:
I used to be, quite the opposite of optimistic
Way before I dropped the EP, "Through my..." optic vision
I was sittin' all alone, in a school that was known, to be a church throughout the week
Cause they were building their own, so, I sat and roamed on my cellular phone
Actin like I was textin cause I was socially gone, I started typin' out my feelings, in this app on my phone and then I wrote my first rap
Within an hour or so, I was 15, clean faced, barely a stache
You know it's funny, looking back as I reflect on the past
Memories of myself, when I was simply a lad
Typin words, so absurd, on this virtual pad
I started off, real crazy, like a monster or somethin'
I wanted to seem aggressive, but I struggled with all the cussin'
What if my mom knew? Or heard her child, speak like this?
Fast forward years later, now I just reminisce, on a rainy day
Now, just vibe wit me
Just vibe wit me
Just vibe wit me
Just vibe wit me

(Yeah, I think about it on a rainy day)
(Ugh, on a rainy day)
Verse 2:
It was a Friday night
My dad came and picked me up, and once I got inside his crib
I'd set the tv up, turned it to Input 2
He had the ps2, and if it wasn't Tony hawk then it was flat out 2
I was gamin all night, and woke up early to play
Until he came down the stairs, and kicked me off of the game
He said "you ain't gone sit in here and play the game all day, you can prolly get back on it, round, 7 or 8"
But it was rainin' outside, I saw the look in his eyes
Man, I was mad as fire, remember tears in my eyes
So as a stand against him, I just sat on the stairs
Lookin straight ahead, thinkin bout how life was unfair, and then some friends came by, and saw the tears in my eyes
They'd tried to get me to talk, but I ain't wanna reply
So they banged a couple rocks off the concrete step, and made a beat, so ill I forgot I was upset, on a rainy day
Hook:
Now, just vibe wit me
Just vibe wit me
Just vibe wit me
Just vibe wit me
X4
(Yeah,I think about it on a rainy day)
(Ugh, on a rainy day)
You know, there's light in every situation, even if you don't see it right now. It's there, when you need it. Yeah, figured it out, on a rainy day, ha-ha!
