The Devil’s Answer Lyrics by Kendall Wagner

The Devil’s Answer

2019

I asked God what's the plan
24 years been a while for a man
Now all I hear is money clothes girls shows
Guess I got the devil's answer
If it's money or Heaven
If it's peace or a weapon
I guess I got the devil's answer
If it's party or worship
Sip Bacardi and cursing
Yeah I got the devil's answer
If it's love or it's hatred
If it's anger or patience
Yeah I got the devil’s answer
If it's Jesus or nothing
If you believe or you bluffing
I guess I got the devil's answer
Hold up stop
Let me tell y'all about it
No one wants to be honest cause if you are then they'll doubt it
Grew up thinking that Jesus the only way to get out it
But now I hear the devil calling and believe me he's shouting
I'm talking money
Stacking paper like Mifflin
The kind of money you think of and know your life would be different
I'm talking girls
Beautiful and persistent
Who hit you up and say they're down
But I'm not talking commitment
I'm talking fashion
Got the Yeezys for Christmas
And by New Year's all I'm thinking is what's next on my wishlist
I'm talking fame
Where everyone knows my name
Cause I'm the one ripping these tracks like it's nothing
The lyrical murderer come for the throne
The devil is calling
I ask God what's the plan
24 years been a while for a man
Now all I hear is money clothes girls shows
Guess I got the devil's answer
If it's money or Heaven
If it's peace or a weapon
I guess I got the devil's answer
If it's party or worship
Sip Bicardi and cursing
Yeah I got the devil's answer
If it's love or it's hatred
If it's anger or patience
Yeah I got the devil’s answer
If it's Jesus or nothing
If you believe or you bluffing
I guess I got the devil's answer
Hold up stop
Bring that back
Devil calling we know that
Hit that track and we go black
We leaning like casino stacks
I’m Finding Nemo so I'm clowning then I reload
The devil on the d low so I see no evil he know
I want the green like CeeLo so Satan softly assaults me
Telling me that money would make the people exalt me
He telling me that money would make the haters so salty
Why he never told me the money could be so costly
And that's true man
I'm out here trying to move how I move man
24 and I'm living proof man
When the devil calls careful what you do man
I ask God what’s the plan
Yeah
I ask God what’s the plan
Now He finally talking back
