Seek Your Face (Acoustic) Lyrics by Kerrie Roberts

My Heart’s Lifted

2014

[Verse 1]
How many times have I said
"Please, please, God
Give me what I can't stop dreamin' of."
It's not like You haven't already proved Your love for me
I give You things but right in the next breath
I ask You "Why I just don't have it yet?"
It's not like You haven't given us every thing we need
[Pre-Chorus 1]
Why do I forget this peace to rest in
When I think of all Your blessings
[Chorus]
I wanna seek Your face
And not Your hand in every circumstance
Find Your grace
And trust that love that makes the angels dance
Seek Your face, seek Your face
[Verse 2]
Make my heart desire only You
Not as what You'll give but what I can do
It's not like I don't already know what You want from me
[Pre-Chorus 2]
Why do I forget that I'm forgiven
Help me see that You are missing
[Chorus]
I wanna seek Your face
And not Your hand in every circumstance
Find Your grace
And trust that love that makes the angels dance
Seek Your face, seek Your face
[Bridge]
I know Your hands are open
And the gifts are overflowing
But You've sacrificed
You gave up Your life
And that's enough
You're more than enough for me! Ohhh!
[Chorus]
I wanna seek Your face
And not Your hand in every circumstance
Find Your grace
And trust that love that makes the angels dance
Seek Your face, seek Your face
Seek Your face, oh, seek Your face
