Day One Lyrics by Kevin Flum

The Wake Up

2016

[Intro: Michael Wavves]
You know I been grindin', I got it
Yeah I love this view
Penthouse, we stainless
This the life I choose
All these late nights (All these late nights)
Always on my mind (Always on my mind)
[Verse 1: Kevin Flum]
Man I'm so sick and tired, of being sick and tired
So all the pain just gets smoked away
I locked myself up in the house
I didn't leave for days
I need a way, to cease the day
I made the cut, don't bleed away
Thought I needed space
Man, never callin' anybody back I didn't want to leave a trace
All I wanna do is write the music
All I wanna do is hype my movement
Stayin' up countless nights tryna get us rich
Not worried about the snoozin'
So I took at dab and popped the vibe vans
Gotta hit the plug as soon as I land
Gotta stay true that's word to my fam
What I'm gonna do is all in my plan
Said I never drink, now I kind of drink
You can see me chillin', prolly sippin' slow
An now, everytime I find myself with a girl
Its like we playin' ball, cause she give and go
I'm in an uber everytime I'm in the city
I don't even know why I have a whip
And I'm on the track to hit the milli-milli
If I do not hit it, imma have a fit
[Chorus: Michael Wavves]
You know I been grindin', I got it
Yeah I love this view
Penthouse, we stainless
This the life I choose
All these late nights (All these late nights)
Always on my mind (Always on my mind)
I been grindin' hard since day one
Just know that I been bout it since day one
Just know my circle small since day one
Same team from when I started
[Verse 2: Kevin Flum]
Its fascinating
Music changing every single day
And these rappers can't handle acclimation
Always waitin' for the shit to come to you
You must have a whole stack of patience
Imma take it straight back to basics
Talkin' numbers, imma crack the matrix
Talkin' money it'll have to make sense
Yo, yo, all it took was patience
I've done strayed away from basics
I done got myself up out my state
And if you hated on me, congratulations
I'm so alive, yeah
Some want me dead
Don't want me here, don't want me there
Do this instead, so fuck all that
And then got up on a road, this is fast life
I don't remember last night
I'm tryna have a good ass time with my people
Take us to a place where we all feel equal
Yo, I'm just tryna be peaceful
Back to the basics, you back in pre-school
Back to the days where we weren't deceitful
Back to the ways, the lesser evil
[Chorus: Michael Wavves]
You know I been grindin', I got it
Yeah I love this view
Penthouse, we stainless
This the life I choose
All these late nights (All these late nights)
Always on my mind (Always on my mind)
I been grindin' hard since day one
Just know that I been bout it since day one
Just know my circle small since day one
Same team from when I started
[Outro: Michael Wavves]
Since day one
Since day one
Since day one
Since day one
Since day one
