Big Heart Lyrics by Kevin Gilbert

Thud

0

Last time I looked I had a heart
But I didn’t know what to do
So I gave it to you
I was up, now I’m down
I’d get over it in a minute if I could just hear a sound from you
But you’re not around
I’ve got a heart - I’ve got a big heart
And I know you’re gonna tear my great big heart apart
Oh, I’ve got a heart - I’ve got a big heart
And I know you’re gonna tear my great big heart apart
I’ve got a heart
Yesterday morning I was doin’ alright
I tried to remember the words you said that night
But I just can’t recall
Was it a Shakespeare sonnet, Chaucer or Keats
I wish I’d have known you weren’t mine to keep
It’s all true
They’ll be no more poetry without you
And I’ve got a heart - I’ve got a big heart
And I know you’re gonna tear my great big heart apart
‘Cause I’ve got a heart - I’ve got a big heart
And I know you’re gonna tear my great big heart apart
No room left inside
My heart is oceans deep and nations wide
I don’t need a doctor to believe that it’s true
‘Cause this heavy heart of mine, it don’t wanna be alone
Underfed and overgrown
My heart is big, so big
I feel it when we kiss, I feel it when we touch
I’m going psycho ‘cause I love you so much
Can you feel my big heart pounding away
This is not the drama I could ever overplay
Shakespeare, Chaucer or Keats
Must have been Shakespeare ‘cause the knife went deep
It’s just too big for me to keep
‘Cause I’ve got a heart - I’ve got a big heart
And I know you’re gonna tear my great big heart apart
Yes, I’ve got a heart - Oh, I’ve got a big heart
And I know you’re gonna tear my great big heart apart
I’ve got a heart - I’ve got a heart
I’ve got a heart, yeah - I’ve got a heart
A big heart
A big, big heart
Big heart
A big, big heart
Ooh, pounding away
Pounding away
