But I’m still in that hole tryna positively think my way out

‘Cuz he’s black; even though the times I think that way are seldom
I'm still that way and I don’t know exactly what to tell him
It’s past finding his other half; past that relationship

And that’s a thing I really wish he wouldn’t have to do
Some claim I’m way too soft for writing a song like this one
But it's hard when it feels like the amount of love for brothers is none
Someone who’s suffered through it should have another choice
Than to sit back and watch and never raise their voice
