9-5 Lyrics by Kid Kern

2015

[Hook]
We've been killing time just trying to skip that 9-5, that 9-5
Restless happy souls not soldiers doing what we're told, yeah what we're told
[Verse 1]
I've been dreaming of the day that we gon get it
I'm talking about that good life like it's 07
All that bullshit homie no I don't sweat it
And if you hating on me team then you don't get it, nah
I had a plan and I stuck to it, do it at my own pace I don't rush music
And if you really got a plan, and you 'bout to be the man
Stop talking 'bout it, please homie just do it
Yeah, that's the way that it should be, blazing that good tree
If you hit me what I say? Yeah I'm good B
Everyday I really plot this shit and I'mma show you what's good if you not convinced (Kid Kern)
If you stressing homie you just got to let go
Got links from the east to the west coast
'bout to be on, yo I'm ducking all my odds
Squad gon be popping so it's fuck a 9-5 and I'm ghost, yeah yeah
[Hook]
We've been killing time just trying to skip that 9-5, that 9-5
Restless happy souls not soldiers doing what we're told, yeah what we're told
[Verse 2]
Whachu know about the time, whachu know about the struggle?
All I know is grind, all I know is hustle
Bitches on your dick, they gon tell you that they love you
But you got to understand, homie that ain't nothing
All I do is maintain, make plays, never take breaks
And if you just hearing 'bout us then you way late
And that's a shout out to my whole team
Got class in the AM still no sleep, listen
I work hard I ain't trying to brag
But I hear these rappers on and they're kind of whack
So if you're jealous of my spot and you're trying to lap
I've got bad news for you bro you're miles back
My team winning stop jocking our swell
Yeah I'm talking 'bout Rush, Rock, Josh, and myself
'bout to be on, yo I'm ducking all my odds
Squad gon be popping so it's fuck a 9-5 and I'm ghost, yeah yeah
[Hook]
We've been killing time just trying to skip that 9-5, that 9-5
Restless happy souls not soldiers doing what we're told, yeah what we're told
[Outro]
And shout out everyone supporting, shout out The Summit, you know
