Heartbreaker (I’m Such A Mess) Lyrics by Klymaxx

Girls Will Be Girls

1982

Are there any heartbreakers in the house? (Yeah!)
Mmmhmm, where the heartbreakers at? (Right here!)
Hit me
I’m so good
I’m such a mess
I said I’m such a mess
[Rap: Cheryl Cooley]
Umm, a diva from the heart
My big sis gave me my very first start
She said, free is the only way to be
She said, you can’t control the plan
But you can always get your man
You can help but be
My little sister and me (heartbreaker)
I’m always by your side
Until another one catches my eye
Then I play the role (heartbreaker)
I up and take a stroll (heartbreaker)
It’s always been important to me
To have the ability to leave
I guess it’s just my nature
With no explanation, baby!
[Lorena]
But one thing she didn’t explain
That’s really driving me insane
Is what to do if I fell in love
‘Cause I think I’m in love with this guy
Feels different inside
[Cheryl]
And I can’t handle it honey
‘cause I live the life of a heartbreak
Scream!
[Chorus:]
I’m so good
I’m such a mess
I said I’m such a mess
Do you know what I mean?
I’m such a mess
[Cheryl]
Then I came into this band
Seven scandalous divas from another land
This is what I had to be
Cool (heartbreaker)
And break all the love rules (heartbreaker)
Love was like a big Mack truck
It’ll hit you hard and then you’re stuck
So be like us (heartbreaker)
It’s the girls you can trust (heartbreaker)
[Lorena]
How can I tell him I met my match?
‘cause I can’t seem to get unattached
I think I lost my cool and I fell in love, yeah
This time I’m the fool
‘Cause he’s a heartbreaker from the old school
And a scandal is about to brek loose
Here it goes
Scream!
So good
I’m such a mess
A heartbreaker so fresh
Do you know what I mean?
I’m such a mess!
Girls?
I’m so good
I’m such a mess
A heartbreaker so fresh
I can’t stand myself! Oww! Good god!
I’m so good
I’m such a mess
A heartbreaker so fresh
Oww! I’m bad!
Honey, please!
I just can’t handle it
‘Cause I’m a heartbreaker
I don’t think you heard me fella
Sing it divas (heartbreaker)
[Lorena]
But one thing she didn’t explain
That’s really driving me insane
Is what to do if I fell in love
‘Cause I think I’m in love with this guy
Feels different inside
Ooh, somebody help me
Now I’m a victim
Of his heartbreaking love
Ooh, somebody help me!
A diva from the start
I never thought I’d lose my heart
[Cheryl]
‘Cause I’m a heartbreaker
And a scandal is about to start
Are the heartbreakers still with me? (Yeah!)
Mmmm hmmmm
Where the heartbreakers at? (Right here!)
Sing it!
I’m so good
I’m such a mess
A heartbreaker so fresh
I’m such a mess
Get loud
[Electric Guitar Solo]
Oww! Two times!
Heartbreaker
I’m such a mess
You know it…
