Martin had a conflict
With the train's own engineer
He liked peace and quiet

They'd get into squabbles

To kick the goblin off the train

Don't stop singing
The people need the joy
That you keep bringing
Middle of the wilderness
The train begins to shake
Engineer has no choice
But to pull on rusty brake
He gets out his toolkit
And he starts on his repairs
While Martin sings to passengers
To cure them of despair

Once his concert's over
Locomotive still ain't fixed
A couple doors break open
And a beast starts burstin' in
People all start panicking
And Martin starts to sweat
But he steps up to monster
And starts singing from his chest
It went goo-roo-roo oo-roo-roo ra-ta-ta a-ta-taaa
It grabs Martin's jacket
In its oh so jagged teeth
But people keep on throwing things
'fore it has chance to eat
So it drags Martin quickly
All the way to the caboose
Bashing every single booth
Martin still don't lose his tune
It went goo-roo-roo oo-roo-roo ra-ta-ta a-ta-taaa
It drops Martin from its jaws
And swings with mighty paw
Martin shuts his eyes
Thinking, this is it, I'm gone
His buddy jumps between
For Martin he'd do anything
Claws connect with spine
And send him flying
Martin sees a golden band around its neck
Is it possible the monster is a pet?
Looking closer at its predatory eyes
Martin's pretty sure it's crying
So he jumps up on its back
And he undoes a latch
And the collar falls, revealing
A row of spikes, on the collar's inside
Can't imagine the pain it was feeling
It licks Martin's face
And he lets out a laugh
And then he turns attention
To his fallen buddy's back
He's wheezing pretty hard
But there's not even a scratch
Maybe being mutant ain't so bad
