Someday soon Lyrics by KYWN

metamorphosis

2023

[Verse 1]
Remember as a kid, I was down bad
Never had hope, I couldn't allow that
'Cause any time I got my hopes up, always seemed to end with me being sad
And after a while, I noticed the pattern
Decided to not care like, "What does it matter?"
I was going through the motions like when you whisking batter
Moving in circles, climbing up an endless ladder
With no end in sight
I was losing my mind
In need of a sign
Better yet, a lifeline
[Verse 2]
But now the clouds are starting to clear
Sun is coming out, and I've been getting rid of all my fears
Switching gears, moving full steam ahead
Jumping outta bed like I'm blessed to see another day
'Cause I am, and I won't let it go to waste
No sir, bouta have fun like a holiday
Knowing if I have a problem, Imma find a way to solve it
Getting better every day, and Imma keep evolving
[Pre-Hook]
But I know it gets hard
Even though you've come so far
When you face a setback
Try your best to remember that
[Hook]
Someday soon, things are looking up
Blue skies ahead, greener pastures surrounding us
We gon' have everything we need, more than enough
So anytime things start to get rough, remember that
Someday soon, things are looking up
Blue skies ahead, greener pastures surrounding us
We gon' have everything we need, more than enough
So anytime things start to get rough, remember that
[Verse 3]
Yeah, just keep swimming
You may not like this chapter of your life, but you can change the ending
There's plenty of time, it's never too late
Taking a chance on yourself will never be a mistake
But you gotta take that step
And believe in yourself with no fear of regret
As scary as it may seem
You'll be feeling so free
I speak from personal experience; you can take it from me
I never knew if I would make it out the funk I was in
Draining all my energy, my light was getting so dim
But thank the Lord for giving me the strength I needed to win
This mental battle 'cause it felt like I was out on a limb
But now it feels like there is nothing in this world I can't do
Looking forward to what's next, like when a flower's ready to bloom
I'm over the moon, what else can I say?
Took a while, but I conquered the pain
And I believe that you can do the same
[Pre-Hook]
But I know it gets hard
Even though you've come so far
When you face a setback
Try your best to remember that
[Hook]
Someday soon, things are looking up
Blue skies ahead, greener pastures surrounding us
We gon' have everything we need, more than enough
So anytime things start to get rough, remember that
Someday soon, things are looking up
Blue skies ahead, greener pastures surrounding us
We gon' have everything we need, more than enough
So anytime things start to get rough, remember that
[Bridge]
Just remember that
Yeah, just remember that
[Outro]
Things are looking up
KYWN, you make tunes, right?
