Wish That You Saw Me Lyrics by L Devine

Near Life Experience Part One - EP

2021

[Verse 1]
I save up my feelings and my pride
I'd give all myself to watch you shine
I dream I can make you feel adored
But I know you need more
You're the one that everyone deserves
And I'll never be special in your eyes
You give me enough to keep me close
But I know there's no hope
[Chorus]
Oh, how I
I wish that you saw me the way I see you
But I'm not important, no, I'm out of view
You in your glory, me in the back of the room, yeah
I wish that you saw me, I wish that you
[Verse 2]
I'm not just some fan, don't just admire
I know who you are, what makes you cry
Why do you have to make it so unfair?
When you know how I care
You stay in the middle of the floor
All the people smiling, I'm ignored
Yeah, I'm still here and I'll always be there
Weighing all my prayers
[Chorus]
Oh, how I
I wish that you saw me the way I see you
But I'm not important, no, I'm out of view
You in your glory, me in the back of the room, yeah
I wish that you saw me, I wish that you
I wish that you saw me the way I see you
But I'm not important, no, I'm out of view
You in your glory, me in the back of the room, yeah
I wish that you saw me, I wish that you
[Post-Chorus]
(I-I-I, I wish that you)
(I-I-I, I wish that you)
(I-I-I, I wish that you)
(I-I-I)
[Bridge]
Yeah, yeah
I'm a failure, you're a masterpiece
Know you're no good for my self-esteem, I know
Baby, when you look at me
Try to feel the same but you lie to me
Everybody wants the key
And I gotta pretend that don't bother me but no
Now it's getting hard to breathe, I know, oh no
[Chorus]
Oh, how I
I wish that you saw me the way I see you
But I'm not important, no, I'm out of view
You in your glory, me in the back of the room, yeah
I wish that you saw me, I wish that you
I wish that you saw me the way I see you
But I'm not important, no, I'm out of view
You in your glory, me in the back of the room, yeah
I wish that you saw me, I wish that you
