That goes for the kids acting out at a young age
And nobody knows their cause to constantly outrage
Bullied in class, for showing their symptoms
And none of the teachers wanna deal with 'em
'Cause they ain't got the patience to really take time
And understand what's going on in their mind
So when they lash out, blackout, and refuse to back down
That's the only way they know how to survive
Chronic anxiety takes over their body
They're always on edge and ready to fight
Turn the energy to rage when things get started
And scrap ASAP when the pressure is tight
Living with this illness doesn't make you a monster
It just means you're a victim of experienced trauma
It ain't just the fact they can't get over the past
Trauma's overwhelming and runs deeper than that
Recalling the pain can hurt as much as the moment
No wonder they go to great lengths to avoid it
