Building a Creature Lyrics by Levi Ace Day

2023

[Verse 1]
Scary
You said I was scary
Under your breath as if you thought I couldn't hear
It's funny
You think you can change me
By convincing the world I was never even here
[Pre-Chorus]
I see what you're doing
I smell your fear
Despite your efforts
I won't disappear
Cause you don't scare me
I'm way more scary
[Chorus]
Cause I'm building a creature
It's my own design
Comes from the depths of my dark and twisted mind
Heart of a lion, mind of a fox
Don't bother running, I can hear a pin drop
[Post-Chorus]
You may cast me as your villain
Twist my words to prove the lie
But my creature nonetheless is screaming out
I'm alive
[Interlude]
It's alive, it's moving
It's alive, it's alive, it's alive, it's alive
It's alive!
In the name of God, now I know what it feels like to be God!
[Verse 2]
Through all of my studies
My potions and time
I discovered the spark
That I know could give me life
But you tell me stay quiet
When there's others around
Your personal comfort matters more than what I found
[Pre-Chorus]
Go on, send the mob upon me
Torches blazing in the night
I will keep this creature breathing
If not purely out of spite
I'll be the monster
(Muahahaha)
I'll be the monster
[Chorus]
Cause I'm building a creature
It's my own design
Comes from the depths of my dark and twisted mind
Heart of a lion, mind of a fox
Don't bother running, I can hear a pin drop
[Post-Chorus]
May my creature live forever
Take my name, we're one combined
May you shiver as you hear me screaming out
I'm alive
[Outro]
This corpse is mine to reanimate
This life is mine to build and create
I'll sew every stitch with care, with love
And if that makes me scary
If that makes me scary
If that makes me scary
Run
