[Intro: Sample from [?] and Mic-O]
Seriously. Because I’ve talked to some of the jivest niggas you ever met. No, I’m serious. And they insult me to think I don’t know what a revolutionary is. They think I don’t know what a Contra is. Them think I don’t what strategies and tactics is. They think I don’t know what love is, what Black Power is
[Mic-O]
Yo, it’s some fucked up times we living in. (No doubt, no doubt). But we’re doing the best we can to survive. Pimping the system. Yo
[Hook 1: L.I.F.E. Long and (Oktober)]
Pimp the system, pimp the system
Educate against lies, free your mind
Pimp the system, pimp the system
(We gots to realize that they not on our side)
Pimp the system, pimp the system
Got to revolutionize, keep it organized
Pimp the system, pimp the system
(If we don’t win with peace signs, we cock back the 9)
[Verse 1: L.I.F.E. Long]
Take back the jewels stolen from sacred lands
Cultures been stripped, rearranged by evil man’s hands
Satan’s ultimate plan: make original people
Inferior, unequal until there’s one’s race dominant
The rest feeble, set up to serve
Which class you in? Mine’s not high class, middle, low
Just hanging from my building, brothers banging
Slanging, holding forks in every urban area
Crime’s the most played sport
[Verse 2: Oktober]
There’s nothing truer than this
Breaking loose the grip of Lucifer’s fist
Crucifixes to three sixes, I’m trying to free sisters
From images and video remixes
Bless the ears of my listeners for their attention
Mislead minds to correct direction
Follow me. If you wondering what I honestly think:
Manipulate the system how we properly pimp
Yeah
[Hook 1: L.I.F.E. Long and (Oktober)]
Pimp the system, pimp the system
Educate against lies, free your mind
Pimp the system, pimp the system
(We gots to realize that they not on our side)
Pimp the system, pimp the system
Got to revolutionize, keep it organized
Pimp the system, pimp the system
(If we don’t win with peace signs, we cock back the 9)
[Verse 3: L.I.F.E. Long]
(Yo, so how we gonna take control?)
Do for self, self-sufficient protect the old
Ancient ways of thinking activate your movements, unfold
I got ideas, so I manifest goals, represent for all
My souls in the atmosphere
Lost for pres, then y’all representation is definitely here
Motivation for the everyday: stay focused, give praise
Thanks for my creation, open eyes, fists raised
It’s been a long time fighting for freedom
For one nation under the Sun and divine presence
Combine King plus Garvey’s dream, add the sum
Jah bless us every day while questing for the next lesson
A nightmare for American Dream
[Verse 4: Oktober]
Bad business. Peace and prosperity is what my mission is
But violent outcomes I did, so vision
Because Wall Street buy and sell shares of prisons
Talking high-class, capitalist-style pimping
Compared myself to presidents. I was thinking
I free slaves like Lincoln, throw peace signs like Nixon
Smoke trees like Clinton (What’s the difference?)
Nothing except the melanin under out skin tone
My word is the antidote for Ignorance Syndrome
Empires collapse. You can say that you been told
Digging through the rubbish, I’ma build my own
Yeah
[Hook 2: L.I.F.E. Long and (Oktober)]
Pimp the system, pimp the system
Get the money, don’t run, raise your guns
Pimp the system, pimp the system
(It’s about where you at and where you come from)
Pimp the system, pimp the system
Do what you got to do to survive, stay life
Pimp the system, pimp the system
(We make the system work for us. That’s how we rise)
[Outro (Overlapped with Hook): L.I.F.E. Long and Oktober]
Oktober: No doubt. Oktober, L.I.F.E. Long, and Beyond
L.I.F.E. Long: It’s like that, you nah’mean? Free all political prisoners. Of course we ‘bout to take it over like that. Pimp the system. Word. Get them before they get us. It’s like that, y’all
Oktober: Pimp them pigs. Pimp them pigs
