Bane Of My Existance (Demo) Lyrics by Liiight

5ive EP

2017

[Intro]
Bane: "You think darkness is your ally. You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!"
[Verse 1]
I used to dream
I used to watch double XL and scheme
Now I know it ain't what it used to be
They giving us everything we want to see
Cause all our views and clicks are their new currency
Going nowhere fast, oh yea we're hurrying
And you can't tell me who you are
Staring at the box to avoid them scars
No voice, you're just an instrumental
I'm tryna free us all with these pens and pencils
Turned it off and saw so crystal
Trap your mind, they don't need a pistol
Keep your hands in the air though
[Verse 2]
I imagine death so much
I'm right on the cusp
And all the devils run amuck
Tied up in a game just like Double Dutch
My hands blood red and my conscience scuffed
It's not enough
It's not enough
Water in the world to cleanse my sins
So instead he told me "feed the ignorant"
I'm giving you the truth so face it
You just need love man, it's basic
That's a homerun with loaded bases
Stop it with all of that hatred
That's enough
