Depression pt. 2 Lyrics by Lil Mama Aisha

2021

I hang by a thin thread,
called anxiety,
she's not nice to me,
she makes me feel alone,
in a world of cruel society,
I hold my own hand,
knowing no one will hold it besides me,
I talk to my demons at night,
they're my friends called depression,
they get me,
I cry my pain out but it doesn't work,
I try not to damage my skin,
but I can't heal without being hurt,
I want to drown in my mental problems,
so I called adhd,
hoping my own mind will solve them,
i don't want to go outside,
so i dream it instead,
have you ever lost your memory,
and everyone gets mad as if you did it on purpose,
maybe i'm better off,
i don't want to bite the hand,
but my own demons said,
they don't believe you,
they don't trust you,
so pluck out those eyelashes,
and panic over your choices instead,
is it time to talk to my insecurities,
my pills are looking tempting,
and my food is mocking me,
i don't want to walk in public,
i know they judge me inside and out,
and my lifeline in my heart loves it,
i hate to live but i don't want to go,
because if i do then i will miss my home,
but where's home i wonder,
is it where the kitchen be,
or in a casket beneath the dirt six feet under,
talk to me my killers,
you ruined my reputation,
and pretended to be my friend,
so don't come mourn for me,
salutations,
i have a thing for eating myself alive,
I look into that mirror,
and think of a million reasons why my parents want me to die,
i want to tell myself i'm pretty,
then i'll take it back once the camera is on,
those extra ten pounds almost look like fifty,
let's keep our composure,
the people call us disgusting,
once we announce we love her,
they say you're just confused,
and need a man to show you that he's forever,
and that god doesn't like us,
what does it mean to be normal,
because normal doesn't exist,
it never did,
if jesus wrote it to us,
i never got the letter,
i have a thing for being incompetent,
i don't like love or fun,
this hatred of life that god had sent,
i don't want to go against his word,
but if the shoe just fits,
i won't lie if i want to go to sleep,
but i hope coma will take over,
that might be neat,
if i was someone against all rules,
then my life is the rebellion of all of them,
like a cigarette smoke when you pull,
