tried to tell you Lyrics by looking at birds

2023

[Verse]
I tried to sit and write a text, but I just froze up
The day is just a justification of why I woke up
Hope it's Nova Scotia, in a place where no one knows us
Salted all the roots, where metal boots will crush the rose buds
The sidewalk ends by the house with no door
The maple tree is crooked, every window got a board
Was bored with daily walks, so I just peaked into the gorge
The abyss is so appealing, where the ceiling meets the floor
Heard there's something crooked lurking in the alley by the tavern
Felt fear in village greens where I learned that nothing mattered
Told my homies pitter-pattered past the mansion up on vintage
Bring a 20 to the deli, hit up Kevin in the kitchen
Little tablets in dump bags
Surprisingly compact
We could take 20, drive my car into the river
Convinced that I'm off that
What lurks in the tall grass
Way worse than getting hurt and being single
Everything that's bad, she tries to blame on a star sign
Everything that's better punctuated with a car ride
Universal city walk, alas, it's so dramatic
Every single stop we make are droopy faces and long lines
Yeah
I don't really mean to stress you
I'm honestly possessed
I tried to tell you I'm a vessel
The ghosts around my crib, I shouldve mentioned I'm forgetful
But it's just a sunken thing, my lack of prescence will impress you
