Pretend Lyrics by Love Remy

Let Me Explain

2022

Yea
(They do it and do it again)
I said it, yea
I said it before I'll say it again
They know they pretend when they say they ya friend
I know a couple of people that hate on my pen
It's nothing new, cause I seen it before and I'll see it again
Yea
I gave 'em chances but this where it ends
They say they fam or say they friend but it depends
They say they following God, but living in sin I wonder when
They always showing they hate or faking they love or holding it in (yea)
Either way it goes I'm breaking it down
They say they ya homie but never around, yea
But they hitting you up when they feeling alone
Then I get text like "yo are you home?", nah
Aye, and you might
Say that I'm mean or harsh but i don't have time
To be playing game i gotta leave all that behind (come on)
If you do me wrong I try to not keep it in mind
But if you do again I'm not gonna act like I'm blind
So, I'm wit' L.O.V. they the brothers
We don't forsake the assembly so we be there for each other (yea)
If you kept it real then ya number is locked
But if you did me wrong I'm telling you now your number is blocked
I said it before I'll say it again
They know they pretend when they say they ya friend
I know a couple of people that hate on my pen
It's nothing new, cause i seen it before and I'll see it again
Yea
I gave 'em chances but this where it ends
They say they fam or say they friend but it depends
They say they following God, but living in sin I wonder when
They always showing they hate or faking they love or holding it in
Either way it goes I'm breaking it down
They use me to fill all the holes they got in they heart, yea
It came about plenty of times so where do i start, yea
But i dont get made 'cause they just be playin' they part, yea
'cause people gone always run to the light when its dark
But I act on a fly
So what are you saying my guy?
Look, no disrespect but go do ya thing this is a goodbye
Cause' im doing mine, and i keep no records of wrong
Look, but y'all been doing this for way too long (man)
Look! so what you expect?
All of your hate and all of your faking it come wit' effects
So go take a look, its right in the text
You show me some love I show you some love its not that complex
Yea, and this is me keepin' it real
You say what you say, I say what I see, this not how i feel, man
Look, but you feeling this right?
Look, if you in my life or out of my life my sleep it alright
I said it before I'll say it again
They know they pretend when they say they ya friend
I know a couple of people that hate on my pen
It's nothing new, cause i seen it before and I'll see it again
Yea
I gave 'em chances but this where it ends
They say they fam or say they friend but it depends
They say they following God, but living in sin I wonder when
They always showing they hate or faking they love or holding it in
Either way it goes I'm breaking it down
Either way it goes I'm...
Yea
(phew)
