My Funeral Song Lyrics by RØRY

Good Die Young

2022

[Intro: Julian Comeau]
(When I'm gone)
[Verse 1: RØRY, Julian Comeau]
Feels kind of unusual to have fun at a funeral
Don't want you there about to cry, in a suit and tie
Don't want to be in a church I'd never go (I'd never go)
Don't want somebody I didn't know (I didn't know)
To read a verse I've never heard for my final words
[Pre-Chorus: RØRY]
Oh, you know I had to go and write this song
So you don't go and get it wrong
[Chorus: RØRY]
When I'm gone, go turn the radio on
When I'm gone, scream at the top of your lungs
And dance dance dance, dance on my grave
Dance dance dance the teardrops away
Oh, dance dance dance, whеn I'm gone
Yeah
[Verse 2: Julian Comeau]
Fireworks and caviar
Turn thе church into a bar
Guns N' Roses, broken hearts, and a cheap guitar
[Pre-Chorus: Both]
Oh, you know I had to go and write this song
So you don't go and get it wrong
[Chorus: RØRY, Julian Comeau, Both]
When I'm gone, go turn the radio on
When I'm gone, scream at the top of your lungs
And dance dance dance, dance on my grave (On my grave)
Dance dance dance the teardrops away (Teardrops away)
Dance dance dance, oh when I'm gone
(Oh, when I'm gone)
[Bridge: RØRY, Julian Comeau]
So call me hypocritical, 'cause I'd cry if you were gone
But it's my fucking funeral, so give me what I want
Give me what I want
(When I'm gone)
[Outro: RØRY, Julian Comeau, Both]
Oh, when I'm gone, go turn the radio on
When I'm gone, scream at the top of your lungs (Scream at the top of your lungs)
And dance dance dance, dance on my grave (On my grave)
Dance dance dance the teardrops away (Teardrops away)
Oh, dance dance dance, when I'm gone
Just keep on dancing when I'm gone
