Get a Grip Lyrics by Ces Cru

Capture Enemy Soldiers

2004

[Chorus: UBI]
And place the blade on your neck
And get a grip on your life
Check your vital signs:
It only takes a slip of the knife
People committing suicide because they're driven to die
So if you think that you could hack it
You should give it a try
[Verse 1]
Some people actually practise it
But never succeed
And real depression's made of much more than bad weather and weed
Its an inhherited disease
And you'd better believe that I'm aware of it
I feel it tear at me
Real is my need for therapy
Arrogance is merely a mechanism for defence
In carelessness you may mistake my pessemism for sense
And so you've got to ask yourself
"Is this as good as it gets?"
I'm still consumed by countless acts of guilt I shouldn't regret
I can't recall how many times my faith's been put to the test
How many times I knew the right from wrong
And looked to left
And There's a fine line that lies between a crook and his theft
And it defines the differences between the good and the best
And I wouldn't confess unless I was absolved of my crimes
My cynicism decides on every fault that I find
Maybe you're right- Depression's all in the mind
So as I head for the exit my best suggestion is
Don't follow behind
[Chorus: UBI]
And place the blade on your neck
And get a grip on your life
Check your vital signs:
It only takes a slip of the knife
People committing suicide because they're driven to die
So if you think that you could hack it
You should give it a try
[Verse 2: Lucid]
