Rant Lyrics by Lucy Camp

Step One EP

[LuzID: Verse]

If I fell into the cycle, good kids with bibles
Religion as their idol, maybe I'd be delightful
To have around the house, perhaps earn a good title
But since I'm mindful, I won't stand in denial
I was built for the literary kind of profession
Whether you had it expected, then or now, well you're connected
No way to reject it, i'm making my own investments
Where lyrics are collected, songs teach you the lessons
Presented, within the wording of my sentence
Es
It's definite, that writing provides full benefits
Worth mentionin, just let it enter in
Like tender lips, upon a lady or gentleman
Yes indeed, let it seep like a flood goes
Right inside your blood flow, hear the music rumble
Mumble, as it causes just a little trouble
Muscles, hardly move but it won't make you numb though
Talkin to, talkin to
Who you think you talkin to
Hear it everyday, but nobody ever follows through
Talkin to, talkin to
Who you think you talkin to
Spare a little minute, if you could, if you got a few
Years of sitting in my room, they still don't comprehend
That my problem isn't me and that it's actually them
So I don't need to change, at least not again
From my attitude then, that's not where the issue stems
Roots made out of anger, lust with other strangers
Love along with favors, parents taught me the dangers
Of letting pleasure take the place of doing your labor
Just one of the majors, but I learned something greater
Some adults are not sensible, their choices are not ethical
And just to be professional, we should just not accept them all
Cuz while their nagging you to make sure that you eat vegetables
Mommy's getting sexual, nutrients in plentiful
Proportions, it's unfortunate
That the female role models I had were contortionists, who wouldn't cover their meat up but rather stick a fork in it
Orderin, men while they hung on like living ornaments
If common sense were an animal, it'd be a dying species
If our minds went to war, we'd be signing treaties
Weekly, we're weaklings when it comes to feelings
And dealing, with speaking cuz people are deceiving
It's the, loud people that act so damn lively
But when it comes to crowds, they act nothing like me
Which is precisely, why writing gives me the all mighty
Feeling that i had been missing day and nightly
I could, make no sounds
But who would, figure me out
It's all good, if we never know how
Cuz we should, but we don't move an ounce
I am not possible poster potential, I'm barely a nominal girl on a level
I don't want another sibling, I have several
So you can take your hot headed self to the mental
Clinic down the street, take your kids with you
You dare to leave them here, then we're gonna have some issues
Cuz i been around too many, to discuss this to
You do this again, it'll have to be continued
I live in a generation full of ungenerous people
Like we're supposed to be kind, but don't act equal
And to top it all off, we've given into the evil
My elementary friends are doing what is not legal
I don't know what's peaceful, I'm not inside the loop
I barely have a group, and some of us are getting chewed
Messed up by a huge, crowd ruder than rude
Kids in my grade are already getting screwed
I would never stoop, to a level I can't handle
It's cool to be a vandal, till you end up on a channel
Used to play scramble, now they're trying to gamble
What are they supposed to show their kids as an example
Too grown for studies, and making buddies with drugs
Say you needa loose up, while they do the stupid stuff
Can't sweep it under the rug, a bravado so tough
One day, one puff, one kid, too young
Understand that this is not the life you need
Don't invest your time in weed, if you're still an age beneath
Or way too young to drink, kids are a dying breed
Cuz they consider themselves too cool to bleed
Why not succeed, and focus on careers
Cuz the future is near, we only have a few years
And by the time you get there, you'll have tons of fears
Cuz you didn't care about school, you cared how you appeared
Now is the time, consequences are severe
I'll say it again, just to make things clear
Throw away the attitude, drugs, and beer
Now is the time, and now is here
