Evil is Going On Lyrics by Luther Allison

Bad News Is Coming

1972

[Verse 1]
I'm a long way from home
I can't sleep at night
I grabbed up my telephone, you know
Somethin' just ain't right
[Chorus]
It's evil, hey
No, it's evil goin' on wrong
Yes, it is, baby
You know I'm warnin' you, brothers
You better watch your happy home
[Verse 2]
Yes, I'm a long way from home
I cannot sleep at night
I got a call on my phone, baby
Things just ain't right
[Chorus]
It's evil, hey
Lord, it's evil goin' on wrong, mmhmm
You better watch out now, brothers
Another mule might be kickin' in your stall
[Verse 3]
Yeah, you know it's a long way from home
I can't sleep at all
I got the news this mornin', baby
Another mule was kickin' in my stall
[Chorus]
It's evil
Lord, it's evil goin' on wrong
Hey, you know you better watch out, brother
You're gonna lose your happy home
[Verse 4]
The rock's in my pillow, baby
Thе cockroach in my bed
The highway in my home, and I
I'd rathеr, rather be dead
[Chorus]
It's evil, Lord
Oh, it's evil that's goin' on wrong, Lord have merch
Yes, you better watch out now, brother
You're gonna lose, yeah
You're gonna lose your happy home
