When the Rain Comes Lyrics by Marcus Alexander

Bedroom Poetry

2016

This time I sing for all the people who don’t dare to say hello
And all the friends we’ll never have, and all the places we don’t go
We’ll keep colliding with the lives we’ve never known
Oh people, we will never be alone
This time I sing for all the lovers that we had along the way
You showed us how to fall in love, and how to throw it all away
We’ll keep on falling let the music be our guide
Oh lovers, just remember that we tried
Oh keep on singing, keep on listening my friend
And when the rain comes, we’ll be singing to the end
This time I sing for all my brothers that I met across the land
You taught me things I always knew, but didn’t really understand
We’re arm in arm and now we’ll never let it go
Oh my brothers, taught me all I need to know
And now I sing for all the friends who didn’t make it through the day
And all the bravery and strength we got to make us wanna stay
We’ll keep on walking and we’re only asking when
Oh friends, I know we’ll meet you once again
Oh keep on singing, keep on listening my friend
And when the rain comes, we’ll be singing to the end
