While Katniss is in the forest hunting Gale arrives. He has a loaf of bread in his hand. To them it is rare to have such a fine quality of bread. It only cost him a squirrel because the man wanted to give it to him for just that. He was probably sentimental because of the reaping.

People in this district tend to look alike. Like Katniss and gale with their grey eyes,olive skin, and straight black hair. Only they are not related. Gale is telling Katniss to leave with him before the reaping begins. But she doesn't know how to respond. Katniss doesn't want any kids because she doesn't want them to be in the Hunger Games and die.

~ I would try harder to do what I do best. If someone doesn't think i am good i will prove them wrong. Everyone has there own talent. We may not be good at it but its something we enjoy. I think most people criticize to help you out or they just do it for the fun of it. They can see some talent in you and try to bring you down. I reach out for ideas; new ways to get better at what i can't do. For me everything new I learn is a win.

Between Katniss and Gale there has never been anything romantic before. Until Gale brought up the subject of having kids and running away together. Katniss doesn't want any kids because she doesn't want them going into the hunger games. If Gale wants kids it won't take him long to find a wife because he is good looking, strong, and knows how to hunt.

Everyone in District 12 enter the reaping at age 12 because of they are poor. They enter one slip at age 12 and 2 at age 13 and so on. Prim is so worried because its her first time. But But Katniss tells her not to worry because her name is only in the bowl once. Prim is wearing Katniss's first reaping outfit and she is wearing one of her moms best dresses. Before they go out to the reaping they eat some fish and greens.
