Better, Not Bitter Pt. 2 Lyrics by Mark Edmond

Edmond Way

2024

[Intro]
Mark Edmond, if you didn't know
[Verse 1]
They gon' see me riding
In my seat, reclining
Or, getting chauffeured
Own business, I'm minding
Finally living
Life to the fullest
Came a long way from, humble beginnings
Like, people know my name, wow
Remember, when I first started out on Soundcloud
Was dropping music, nobody was listening
No support from my family, or my friends
Was getting overlooked
Now, the schedule's book
Lost count of how many pictures, that I took
Last year, nobody cared
It was me, only
Now, all of a sudden, everybody's acting friendly
Phone barley rung
Only called when they needed some
Now, they're inviting me, to all the fun
Lame hoes popping up, but I know the game well
If not a story to tell, bet that pussy on sale
[Chorus]
Getting better, only gon' get better
At the bottom now, can only get better
Going through the worst, keep going, it's gon' get better
Getting better, only gon' get better
[Verse 2]
Bet they choose to ignore
That, it took all of these years to get my, toe in the door
Can't wait to go on tour
Inspire many more
All
While staying true to my core
Still the same
Without a watch, or chain
Or, a penny to my name
I never complained
By doing that, what is there to gain?
C'mon now, explain
Could be December, won't even expect a candy cane
So, I'm grateful for everything
Not bitter
Would love to say welcome of you're a new supporter
I understand, you gotta show 'em
Even their favorites
Was once quote unquote no ones
[Chorus]
Getting better, only gon' get better
At the bottom now, can only get better
Going through the worst, keep going, it's gon' get better
Getting better, only gon' get better
Getting better, only gon' get better
At the bottom now, can only get better
Going through the worst, keep going, it's gon' get better
Getting better, only gon' get better
[Outro]
Won't be this way forever
It ain't over 'til it's over
Tell that lady rest her vocals
