Started with a 3 day journey to Namibia
They didn't let me in 'cuz I didn't have a Visa
And that Visa is why I went in the first place
Almost broke down man those were my worst days
So I made a call with my Dad and my Mum
Barely had signal it was on and off
Eventually it picked up, we began to talk
Still the immigration officer cut me off
Stuck in the boarder for about 8 hours
In between the time I needed to devour
Looked for a place I could get something to eat
Then I found one so I bought a lil treat
Officers told me they'll find someone who's going back
I didn't complain so told 'еm I was cool with that
Then a man arrived with a truck in the еvening
He offered me a ride, I couldn't believe it
Of course it wasn't free I knew I had to pay
Told my pops about it and I payed straight away
Met this dude who was going back too his name is Ethan
We began to talk, we had the same interest
Funny how both of us are anime geeks and
Felt like we've known each other for a long time
Guess you meet good people in hard times
But the truth is that they are hard to find
Next morning we arrived back in Joburg
The weather was calm and time seemed slower
Before we parted ways we exchanged contacts
With the hope that one day we'll come back
Then I got an email from Swaziland embassy
"We are now open" is what they were telling me
Applied in Pretoria the very next day
Got there on time and I didn't hesitate
After I applied they told me to wait
Checked out Monument Park to time away
Then I got my interview scheduled next week
Packed all my luggage, I prayed on my knees
Arrived in Swazi, I found somewhere to sleep
Payed for a night I was tired and weak
Interview next day, I arrived early
Couldn't believe what security told me
That they were closed so they had to postpone it
I was so vexed man, couldn't even hold it
Now I had to stay here for another week
I had nowhere to sleep so I went to KFC
Until they almost closed and a man noticed me
He asked me what's wrong and then I explained
He let me stay with him and I'm grateful till this day
Finally the day for my interview came
Then I got my Visa man I had to celebrate
So I booked a flight and I flew to USA
Joined a summer camp that was in Connecticut
Made some friends and we talk till this day
My life changed in ways that I cannot explain
Now I'm in college, freshman year
2022 was up and down I swear
But thank God for life that's greatest gift here
