Ego Lyrics by Matt Currie

Exposure

2017

Chorus
Ego, ego, today your feeling famous on the internet, we know
Ego, ego, never listen, but you're talkin' happily though
Ego, ego, even though your self worth, nothing more than a placebo
Ego, ego, everyone is special, especially me though
Verse 1
Walk into the room like, hi, check out my levi's, I don't really wanna talk to you, just tell me the wifi, all the bullshit on my phone is more important than real life. only here to take some pictures could you please stop asking why
My Instagram account has over 700 followers, I'm kinda famous locally and don't know what a hobby is, I like to shoot inside the toilet, hashtag Pistorius, I'm tweeting my opinion everyday, so autonomous
If looks could kill, call the coroners, 'specially when my filter game is X-Pro, I'm too confident
Trolling an Anonymous, I'm higher than you commoners, I understand religion, culture, money, love and politics, like qualified professors, I don't socialise with novices, I'm self aware and ominous, my health is like adonis's, I strole around the gym like I own everything new-comers lift!
"you nearly finished your set bro?"
Chorus
Verse 2
All the ladies fall in love with me for reasons, I don't understand or see them, personality are cool, but wait until you see my penis, don't wanna brake your pelvic region, be careful when you lean in, the same big dick complex and every other man breathing...
I don't need a deeper meaning, shallow water keep me gleaming, look at you and look at me, this style is what you're not achieving
I am so contemporary, pretentious people so en-vious, I am Aristotle, I am Lennon, I am Yezus
I only gave money to your charity so they would see it
I watch keeping up with the Kardashians ironically and
I read all conservative and labour party policies
And I am such a anarchist, I don't believe in monarchy
And I a spouse, liberal views like some kind of anomaly
Stuart Lee and Bill Hicks make my favourite kind of comedy
And Russell Howard couldn't make me laugh, in a room full of nitrous oxide, jamming carrots in his ass
Chorus
Verse 3
I just bought a new iphone 7 on contract, glitter gold case, look at how much money I have, I dress well, wear glasses, my hair is slicked back. I pretend to care when famous people die, to keep inside the pack
You push me, then I'm fighting back, when I get drunk I like to scrap, punch you in the face, make your girlfriend wanna ride my lap, you think I'm a showvanist, I am not denying that, you think I'm delusional, I just bring messiah back
I'm higher than mariah tracks, civi's hate me, why is that? I do what I like, while you organise your Filofax, when I react with RBF (resting bitch face), who the fuck are you smiling at? You can be a province, but I am the entire map
The world revolves around me, all the time that I've elapsed, has been a vapid self obsession, insecurities intact, but really I just want attention, I need someone to react, but I can't let them see the real me, so I hide behind this act
