The seller was a fella that he knew quite well and he asked him where it was from
He said a band of men had sold it on as they moved away from the town
And the farmer nodded as he saw her ring and he swore that he'd hunt them down
As the farmer leaves to sow new fields the ghosts will never leave him
Nine of the men who killed his love, for he hunted them with cunning
And the tenth is his wife who lost her life for her man, he could not save her
Older now and stooped he walks with the weight of their souls on his shoulder
