Close Lyrics by McKenna Patchen

Close

2022

[Verse 1]
Never used to know how to be alone
Said it’s a trap
Now these days
I’m getting better at that
But I still, I want to know who you are
Cause it helps me know who I am too
[Chorus 1]
Cause I’ve been
Chasing after close, chasing after
Hoping you’ll open up
Hand reaching out, tell me all about
How you’re doing
You say that you’re fine, but I know it’s not true and
What I want most is to be close
[Verse 2]
They’re always telling me
To go live my best life
Look out for number one
Just me, myself, and I
But I want to lean on you, for you to lean on mе
Help a neighbor, have a firеside chat
I think we were created for that, oh I’ve been
[Chorus 2]
Chasing after close, chasing after
Hoping you’ll open up
Hand reaching out, tell me all about
How you’re doing
You say that you’re fine, but I know it’s not true and
What I want most is to be close
[Chorus 3]
I’m chasing after close, chasing after
Hoping you’ll open up
Hand reaching out, tell me all about
How you’re doing
You say that you’re fine, but I know it’s not true and
What I want most is to be close
Is to be close
