Tried to Be a Man Lyrics by Meri D.

Follow Me

0

You rode away from here on a stallion made of fear
Your hope, as a specter, showed then disappeared
As I look around the room, I still can see your face
The shadow is passing, leaving an empty space
You tried to be a man
And the world will understand
How you lived your life in pain
Then you took your life in hand
Yeah, you tried to be a man
Though I do my best to stand
I cry every time I think of you
Cry every time for you
The world became a play, the curtain rose each day
Somehow you'd forgotten there were no lines to say
You acted out your part to conceal a broken heart
Time was your critique, tearing your soul apart
You tried to be a man
And the world will understand
How you lived your life in pain
Then you took your life in hand
Yeah, you tried to be a man
Though I do my best to stand
I cry every time I think of you
Cry every I think of you
Cry every I think of you
Cry every time for you
Caught by the lies and emptiness
Hid from our eyes, but I believed you
Yeah, you tried to be a man
And the world will understand
How you lived your life in pain
Then you took your life in hand
Yeah, you tried to be a man
While I do the best I can
I cry every time I think of you
Cry every I think of you
Cry every I think of you
I cry every time, I cry every time, I cry every time
I cry every time, I cry every time, I cry every time
I cry every time, I cry every time, I cry every time
