No Justice Lyrics by Meryl Streek

796

0

Fifteen at the time he got into it because of his older brother
Made him look great on the road and kept his runners white all year long.
Couple of lines and a couple of pills
turns into selling them to kids older than him.
This kids only Sixteen years old.
Showing off and hanging with the other dealers stuck
him a few extra notches ahead of us.
This life has never felt better.
Acting hard with a heart of gold.
Just tempted by the look of it all.
He met friends of friends and instantly
set the mode off.
Sometime down the line this kid has a kid of his own, life should have
changed but it didn't, it just stayed the exact same.
Still living with his family he just
turned 17 years old now with a kid a few months old known to the Gardai for being used
by the big guns.
This kid never had a day of his own.
Just a fucking nick name they gave him.
His poor family didn't realise how deep their kid was,
they still had fizzy
orange at his birthday party's.
Burner phones and no show at school this kid thought he had it all and was so set in
stone. Nothing ever lasts, this shit went sour his mates disappeared one by one leaving
him sweating.
This kid is now not so sure, and justice doesn't seem that fair at all.
One Tuesday morning this kid was gunned down by clone.
His replacement, broad daylight, shot in the head. Right next to where his family
kneeled and prayed. I just wanted to walk my dog.
They shot this kid in broad daylight.
Next to where his family kneeled and prayed to god.
They shot and killed him like it was nothing at all.
This lad died while walking his kid.
Tell me where the justice is in this?
They shot this kid right in the fucking head.
While he walked his kid.
Eye for an eye.
They shot him in the fucking head.
17 years old with a kid
of his own. Eye for an eye the news said.
But thats not the extent of it all. I watched as
this kid was given his final sheet.
Lead apron his body.
This was broad fucking daylight.
Legalise this shit
And until you've had this scare,
there's no way to make you aware,
they killed him in
broad daylight.
