Back to Before Lyrics by Methods of Mayhem

A Public Disservice Announcement

0

Playing, the unbelievable
Saying, the inconceivable
Saving, the unretrievable now
You're not the only one, that thinks we're getting done
If you could just bring me back to before (nothing is ever what it was)
Leaving me lying here on the floor (trying to get that heady buzz)
Want it a lot, now I need it more (freedom is never what it was)
Thinking, I get to get it right
Sinking, the noose is getting tight
Living, for your sacred white cow
You're not the only one, won't be the last one
If you could just bring me back to before (nothing is ever what it was)
Leaving me lying here on the floor (trying to get that heady buzz)
(nothing is ever what it was, freedom is never what it was)
Dealing, with the impossible
Stealing, to make it practical
Feeling, you're responsible now
You're not the only one
(nothing is ever what it was, freedom is never what it was)
If you could just bring me back to before (nothing is ever what it was)
Leaving me lying here on the floor (trying to get that heady buzz)
Want it a lot, now I need it more (freedom is never what it was)
(nothing is ever what it was, freedom is never what it was)
(nothing is ever what it was, you're not the only one to be the last one)
