Polyester Hoodie Lyrics by MIC Mike

2022

[Chorus]
(Oh yeah, oh yeah)
I need to get to you
(Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yea)
I need to get to you
[Verse 1: M.I.C Mike]
The shortest summer was over, but now its first semester
They [?], found his hoodie, made out of polyester
It was his favorite, his mother got it from Salvation Army
He didn't know this, but fuck it, he was proud of her gestor
The thought of school was depressing, he never fit in
Bad enough he was out of him comfort, but had to get in
Constantly taking verbal abuse, for whatever reason
The hoodie his momma bought him kept him warm in the winter season
But so
It wasn't Nike, or Alexander McQueen
And they knew he couldn't afford it, but showed it by being mean
And it hurt, he sat around and would laugh it off like a champ
But his fire for living life would expire to being damp
What a shame
He knew the burden of waking up wasn't worth it
Ni**a's who making fun of him knew that he wasn't perfect
And true
He knew he wasn't, but why was it only him
The fire the fire was slowly burning but now, the fire was dim
He figured if he can blow out the flame, the pressure would stop
But the thought of leaving his mother was weighing all on his top, and he said:
She was the strongest before me, and now without me
This hoodie you bought was my favorite, but now it haunts me
And why the fuck you say you love me but let these stupid motherfuckers break my confidence
Mama please hug me, im hurt
He took the belt he was wearing, he locked the door on the closet
He pulled a note out his pocket wrote a letter to his momma saying:
"You could've stopped it, that stupid polyester hoodie is the reason I lost it
Please don't look for me"
He heard a knock on the door and it was...
To be continued
[Chorus]
(Oh yeah, oh yeah)
I need to get to you
I need to get to you
(Oh yeah, oh yeah)
