[Intro]
“Legend has it that the land of Stanton College Preparatory High School
Holds the darkest secret to man
A beast that roams the darkness of the night
But we… We know the truth”
Wait the truth?
Wait what, what did he say?
Wait, okay, calm down, it’s just a myth, a legend
Wait right, right???
[Chorus]
It's a trap it's a trap
I'm stuck
Better watch your back
You gonna run out of luck
Can't run you can't walk
Try to move try to crawl
But all you gonna hear
Is that something is quite off
[Verse 1]
I enter the classroom and I turn to my right
I kinda flinch, I’m kinda scared something gonna jump out and bite
Well it might, considering the flickering light
I don’t wanna be here, the mood is darker than night
Well mood, got a tone, for my sins, i’m alone
I sit down in the corner and I’m isolated in my zone
The guy to my left and the girl in front me are always absent
I imagine their fresh bones are just resting in a basket
Creaking open up the casket, this ain’t fake like no plastic
The space inside is just blackness, in the background I hear her laughing
I’m seeing visions of these heads impaled on these pikes
The horror. The horror. Man I wanted something nice
I put my head down, try to get these thoughts outta my head
There’s no way that my classmates somehow ended up dead
Instead, there must’ve been some other explanation of this gimmick
Then I freak out when I hear “Do you need to see the clinic”
[Chorus]
It's a trap it's a trap
I'm stuck
Better watch your back
You gonna run out of luck
Can't run you can't walk
Try to move try to crawl
But all you gonna hear
Is that something is quite off
[Verse 2]
Have you ever felt fear slowly trickle down your spine
As you hear the witch cackle, the shackles ringing right behind
I feel like i’m in prison, a forced decision to live in this class ridden with pistons
Since all our hands are smitten by the writing that we’re given
I am losing my precision, i am losing all my hope
I am faced with derision, writing another essay ain’t gonna help me cope
I see her outline in the smoke, I feel the hand grab my throat
I reached the 6th act but my first impression is that i’m about to choke
Yeah Notes that’s a no, hear the panel about to go
I see the fear in their eyes as they grab their last breath before they begin the show
They try to make it gold, the members tryna say they’re bold
But the piercing cry of the beast shakes the very ground that they thought actually know
The terror creeps onto the faces of my classmates as they rack their brain out
So the bright light that they shined starts to fade out
She stares at us the room getting colder as she starts to laugh
Screaming “Your living fire begets nothing but cold impotent ash”
[Chorus]
It's a trap it's a trap
I'm stuck
Better watch your back
You gonna run out of luck
Can't run you can't walk
Try to move try to crawl
But all you gonna hear
Is that something is quite off
[Verse 3]
Great another commentary, what if I don’t want to make a comment
On the prompt it says to answer all the parts but I just want it
To be something honest rather than vague words that I vomit
On the page like some comet shooting to the ‘moral’ that i promise
Lemme pause it, stop it, wait I don’t get why we gotta analyze
The sea is sensuous okay and so is literally every time
That we look at a setting it's supernatural and I don’t get it, why
Does it matter she bought the flowers cuz every hour I feel like I'm gonna die
Jump from the window like it's Septimus suicide
I mean it's to my side, but there's no benefit to it if I die
It's do or die, gotta prove my life, stand up to this monster or I'll drown in the sea naked somehow awakened to a newer life
If you want a pun so bad I'll throw you some
Here's a pun, there's a pun
My heart is dark but I think I've won
But then I realize the very beast that I feared is here in my very own
Heart that is filled with an immense darkness, the Donobeast has claimed her throne
[Chorus]
It's a trap it's a trap
I'm stuck
Better watch your back
You gonna run out of luck
Can't run you can't walk
Try to move try to crawl
But all you gonna hear
Is the Donobeast's Call
[Outro]
See what people don’t understand is
Once you’re exposed to the Donobeast
You become one
With the Donobeast
