Capt Curse Lyrics by Musical Blades

Pieces of Eight (And Treasures Of Old)

0

I've been around the world on a ship that's made of wood
I've seen my share of battles, and been in bad and good
Murderers, thieves, ravenous rogues
And men who are far worse
But by far the most offensive was a man named Captain Curse
The monkey at his shoulder by the name of Scurvy Pete
The captain had a wooden leg, but somehow had two feet
Wore a patch over an eye and lost to a musket ball
Hat and coat he's slimy [?] he stood just four feet tall!
His teeth were yellow from scurvy and some wеre falling out
His skin was thick and leather, and hе had a case of gout
Wore a brace of pistols, but so did Scurvy Pete
He was the most fearsome fellow you ever chanced to meet (Hey!)
I've been around the world on a ship that's made of wood
I've seen my share of battles, been in both bad and good
Murderers, thieves, ravenous rogues
And men who are far worse
But by far the most offensive was a man named Captain Curse
He once had a whore, he named her Nadie Blow
He paid her in cold liquor, and she put him on a show
It started with a dance and you'd think you know the rest
But it ended rather quick with Scurvy Pete inside her dress!
He battled on the 5th of may, old Curse was quite a sight
He bellowed orders to the crew to get him to the fight
The Gunner said he was out of shot, you know what ol' Curse said?
"Throw the cannons a lapse me lads"
One! Two! Three! Four!
"Paint the vessel red!"
I've been around the world on a ship that's made of wood
I've seen my share of battles that ended bad and good
Murderers, thieves, ravenous rogues
And men who are far worse
But by far the most offensive was a man named Captain Curse
