Allah is Great Lyrics by Muslim Belal

My Sumaya

2015

[Intro: Omar Esa]
Assalamu 'alaykum
[Bridge 1: Omar Esa]
The clouds in the sky
The rain is falling down
The rain is a mercy from Allah
The break in the clouds
The Sun is shining down
The Sun is a mercy from Allah
[Chorus: Omar Esa]
Alhamdulillah, your mercy is great x2
Allah, your love is great, you're the Only One we need x2
Alhamdulillah, Subhanallah (yo)
[Verse 1: Muslim Belal]
They say who Allah guides, nobody can misguide
And who Allah misguides, nobody can guide
And I can relate to that
Raised up in a council flat
Who would've thought them days that
I'd be prayin' on this mat
In school, my teacher asked me "What you know about Islam?"
I looked in my teacher's face and said, "That's a city in Pakistan"
She looked at me and laughed
Now when I think about my past
I realise my present is a blessing
I say Alhamdulillah, (Alhamdulillah)
I was a lost boy, Rollin' around that dance floor in Atlanta
And now I'm in the holy city, Mecca, doing 'Umrah
Tawaf around the Ka'bah, begging forgiveness for my sins
See how great Allah is?
When you look at where I've been
See I was in that street gang, practically a gangster
Now I'm in this brotherhood, Islamic Ummah
Thinkin' bout the things, I woulda and coulda
Done if it wasn't for shahada on my tounge
[Chorus: Omar Esa]
Alhamdulillah, your mercy is great x2
Allah, your love is great, you're the Only One we need x2
Alhamdulillah, Subhanallah
[Bridge 2: Muslim Belal & Omar Esa]
Allah is Great
See, I was on the edge of the fire
And then he bestowed his favour (Allah is Great)
Yeah, I was on the edge of the fire
And Then he bestowed his favour (His mercy is Great)
[Chorus: Omar Esa & Muslim Belal]
Allah, your love is great, you're the Only One we need x4
Alhamdulillah, Subhanallah
